KATRINA B. BROWN
OWNER & DIRECTOR OF DANCE
Katrina B. Brown, or Miss Katie, has been dancing for over 28 years. Growing up in Long Island, NY she began her training at 2 under Lily Chevalier, a Master Ballet trainer, and former NYC Rockette and French Ballerina. Miss Katie trained in both Vaganova Ballet Technique, and Ceccehetti Technique. She then began training in Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, and Modern, and Tap as well as performing in several competition teams with Accent On Dance, under Robert Machado. Discovering her true passion through dance, she ventured through Eastern University as a Dance Major. After completing her higher education, she received acclaim as a teacher at School of Dance Arts, Frist Position Dance Arts, and where ITM was born...Haverford Recreation Center. Now, as the owner and creative director of Inspirations Through Movement, she is watching dancers truly shine. Her choreography has also been seen in musical theater productions such as Legally Blonde, A Christmas Carol, Drowsy Chaperone, and Joseph as well as being featured in several dance performances in PA. She also has a passion for performing and has most recently been seen as Veronica in Chicago, Sally in A Christmas Carol, and Connie in A Chorus Line. Through ITM, we as a community are building dancers to be their very best in all aspects of art...and to live their passion! Our promise to you is to help your dancer realize their dream and to develop their true potential and creative selves.
